Dr Helen Wu

Dr. Helen Wu is an accomplished geriatrician who received her medical degree with top honours from the University of New South Wales. She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, having completed her physician training in Sydney, specialising in geriatric medicine.

Dr. Wu is passionate about solving one of the most pressing healthcare challenges of our time, Alzheimer's disease. In pursuit of this goal, she completed her PhD on biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease from the internationally recognised Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (UNSW).

As a conjoint clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney, Dr. Wu helps to train aspiring medical students to approach geriatric medicine with compassion, dedication and rigour. She is presently serving as a staff specialist geriatrician at the Royal North Shore Hospital and VMO geriatrician at North Shore Private Hospital. Her interests lie in areas including geriatric rehabilitation, perioperative care and orthogeriatrics.

Dr. Wu is vastly experienced in treating cognitive impairment and dementia using innovative approaches, which have been informed by her research interests and clinical practice. She also accepts referrals for inpatient geriatric rehabilitation and medical admissions at Mt Wilga Private Hospital. Dr. Wu is a highly committed geriatrician who leverages her extensive experience and knowledge to offer the best possible care to her patients.
