Dr Gus Clark is an esteemed ophthalmologist based in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of Australia. With a primary practice in Lismore, New South Wales, Dr Clark brings his expertise to the local community. He is associated with Ballina Day Surgery, where he performs surgeries, and holds a public hospital appointment at the prestigious Lismore Base Hospital.
Dr Clark obtained his medical degree with honours from The University of Tasmania in 1999. Following his residency, he embarked on his ophthalmology training in New Zealand in 2005, gaining valuable experience in the field. During his fellowship years, he pursued a Masters of Ophthalmology, which he successfully completed with distinction. Dr Clark undertook two years of sub-specialty fellowship training in medical and surgical retina at the renowned Princess Alexandra Hospital and the esteemed Ospedale Malpighi in Italy.
As a consultant ophthalmologist, Dr Clark actively contributes to the supervision and training of eye registrars from the Sydney Eye Hospital at Lismore Base Hospital. He is highly regarded for his surgical skills and performs operations at St Vincent's Hospital in Lismore and the Ballina Day Surgery in Ballina. Dr Clark also provides private inpatient (No Gap) surgery options for his patients.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr Clark enjoys spending quality time traveling with his family and indulging his passion for surfing. He has been a resident of Lennox Head since 2011, bringing a wealth of experience and a friendly demeanor to his interactions with patients.
