Dr Daniel Timperley

Dr Daniel Timperley is an experienced ENT surgeon and sub-specialist sinus surgeon, renowned for his expertise in advanced and revision sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, and paediatric ENT surgery. After completing his medical school in Auckland, New Zealand, Dr Timperley received the prestigious Gordon-Taylor medal for his excellent surgical performance and went on to work in the world-renowned Starship Children's Hospital before a 12-month fellowship in rhinology and skull base tuition with Professor Richard Douglas at Auckland City Hospital.

Dr Timperley received his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009 and further trained in sinus surgery and rhinoplasty as part of the Sydney Clinical Rhinology Fellowship. He trained under notable rhinologists, including Dr George Marcells, Professor Richard Harvey, and Professor Ray Sacks. Dr Timperley also underwent skull base training in Sao Paulo with endoscopic skull base surgery pioneer, Dr Aldo Stamm, and at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

In addition to his professional areas of interest, Dr Timperley is passionate about providing treatment to patients with chronic ENT illness who struggle with their quality of life. He works collaboratively with Coastal Brain and Spine to bring local skull-base services to the Sunshine Coast.

Dr Timperley also has a talent for photography. He and his family are nature enthusiasts who enjoy living an active and outdoor lifestyle, including diving, hiking, and sailing. Dr Timperley is an esteemed team member at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where he conducts regular rhinology clinics and operating lists. His emphasis on improving patient outcomes is inspirational, and he strives to ensure that individuals with chronic ENT illness can access the care and treatments they need.
