Dr Ritesh Dawra

Dr. Ritesh Dawra is a seasoned Orthopaedic Surgeon practising at the Sunshine Coast Centre for Orthopaedics with over 20 years of experience. Along with his clinical work, he also holds the position of a staff specialist at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. His extensive expertise includes orthopaedic conditions ranging from general cases to specialised areas such as Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Trauma Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Fracture Management.

Ritesh completed his Orthopaedic training and Joint Arthroplasty fellowship in India and has worked in the UK before settling in Australia. He underwent further specialty training in Orthopaedics in Queensland, where he gained valuable experience through his stints at major tertiary care hospitals in Brisbane, such as the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, the Prince Charles Hospital, and the Queensland Children's Hospital.

Dr. Dawra's broad experience in hip and knee arthroplasty, adult reconstructive procedures and orthopaedic trauma surgery are enriched by his regular engagement with trainees and junior doctors. Ritesh is passionate about teaching and mentorship and adopts an active role in providing education and training to the public hospital's junior staff.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, which upholds his integrity, professionalism and accredits his expertise in the field.
