Dr Christopher Smith

Dr. Christopher Smith is an accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon. He graduated from the University of Queensland and completed his training in General and Cardiothoracic Surgery at renowned hospitals in Brisbane and Melbourne. To further his expertise, he completed a Postgraduate Fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Centre in the USA. Christopher returned to Australia as a Cardiac Surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he practiced for six years before shifting his focus towards Greenslopes Private Hospital in 2003. Here, he has been instrumental in developing the TAVI program and is an accredited TAVI operator. His role has expanded further, and he is the current Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Greenslopes Private. When not performing surgeries, Dr. Smith is a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight. He finds ways to give back to his community through his medical expertise and personal interests. Dr. Smith has a main practice at Greenslopes Private Hospital and also consults in Toowoomba and Hervey Bay. His contributions have made a significant impact on the medical community and have helped countless patients regain their health.
