A/Prof Bernard Lyons

Bernie is an accomplished ENT specialist with an impressive history of education and training. He graduated from Melbourne University in 1981 and completed his ENT training in 1990. Bernie's passion for Head and Neck Cancer management has gained him national and international recognition, enabling him to lecture on the subject extensively. He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne.

Bernie's expertise in Head and Neck oncologic surgery and skull base surgery was further honed with a two-year fellowship at UC Davis Medical Centre in Sacramento, California. With a successful surgical career spanning over three decades, Bernie currently practices across multiple private consulting locations, including Box Hill, East Melbourne, Ringwood and Blackburn. He also operates from prominent private hospitals, namely Vic Parade Surgical Centre, Mitcham Hospital, and St. Vincent's Private Hospital (East Melbourne campus).

Bernie's remarkable ability to multitask is reflected in his public hospital appointments. He currently serves as Head of Unit for St. Vincent's Hospital ENT and also manages the Head and Neck Unit. Bernie continues to inspire many with his commitment to his patients' health and wellbeing and shares his expertise in his lectures and media appearances.
