Dr Christopher Woodgate

Dr Christopher Woodgate is a highly skilled specialist in Pain and Rehabilitation Medicine with a passion for patient-centred care. With knowledge and understanding of the challenges that individuals suffering from pain face, he has developed a multifaceted approach to help them overcome their concerns and lead fulfilling lives. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Tasmania, Dr Woodgate received further training in rehabilitation and pain management, consolidating his expertise in these critical areas. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, an approach that utilises a holistic approach centered on the patient. In addition, Dr Woodgate is dedicated to preventing the transition of acute pain to persistent pain and treating persistent pain patients. He is currently the Director of Austin Hospital Chronic Pain Management Unit, a position that allows him to work closely with patients, and a visiting medical officer at the Alfred Hospital, where he teaches medical professionals at both registrar and fellow level.
