Dr Andrew Weickhardt is an accomplished medical oncologist with a special focus on genito-urinary and gastrointestinal cancers. Dr Weickhardt obtained his medical degree, with honors, from the prestigious University of Melbourne in 2002.

Dr Weickhardt completed his training in medical oncology at the renowned Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Austin Hospital. In 2009, he was awarded fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, further solidifying his expertise in the field. Additionally, he holds a Doctor of Medical Science Degree from the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.

Continuing his pursuit of knowledge and innovation, Dr Weickhardt spent two years in Denver, Colorado, USA, working in one of the largest phase I oncology programs in the world. During this time, he played a significant role in early-phase drug development. His research extensively explored mechanisms of drug resistance in oncology and the management of side effects associated with established and new oncology drugs.

Returning to Australia, Dr Weickhardt joined the esteemed team of medical professionals at Warringal Private Hospital and the Austin Hospital. He provides specialised care in the areas of genito-urinary cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, melanoma, and head and neck cancer. His areas of expertise also extend to general oncology.
