Dr Adam Boyt

Adam Boyt is a highly skilled bariatric and general surgeon whose expertise lies in minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques. With extensive experience in performing complex hernia repairs, he is dedicated to providing his patients with top-quality care. Adam completed his science degree (UWA Hons) in biochemistry and neurophysiology before pursuing a PhD in molecular neurobiology concurrently with his medical training at the University of Melbourne. He then underwent general surgery training and completed his Fellowship in bariatric surgery at St John of God, Mt Lawley, before working as a general and bariatric surgeon in Perth. In addition to his urban background, Adam has spent several years providing general and trauma surgery services in rural and remote areas across four states, including places as varied as Broome, Broken Hill, Echuca, Derby, Mt Isa, and Cairns. His love for research and teaching translates into a passionate commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements, both in theory and practice, and passing on his knowledge to the next generation of medical professionals. Adam is married and has three children, and in his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors.
