Dr Yoo Young Lee

Dr Yoo Young (Dominique) Lee is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Greenslopes in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Otago before starting her specialised radiation oncology training at Auckland City Hospital and Liverpool Hospital in Sydney.

In 2014, Dr Lee achieved fellowship status with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). Following this, she completed a clinical research fellowship at Westmead Hospital, where she focused on researching and investigating the efficacy of stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (SABR) in the treatment of liver, spine, and bone metastases.

Dr Lee has a strong passion for clinical research, with a specific interest in stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (SABR). She actively contributes to several leading cancer trial groups, including the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Cancer Trials Group (AGITG) and the Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG). Dr Lee serves as the trial chair for an international clinical study called TROG 17.03 (LARK). Additionally, she recently joined Cancer Australia's National Pancreatic Cancer Roadmap Steering Group as the representative for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).

Dr Lee's clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of solid tumor malignancies. She has a particular clinical interest in treating lymphoma, gastrointestinal cancers, hepatobiliary cancers, skin cancers, and providing palliative care. Patients who prefer to communicate in Korean will find comfort in being able to converse with Dr Lee in their language.
