Wojt, also known as 'Voight', is a highly knowledgeable and experienced specialist in haematology, with a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of haematological malignancies. He sees patients with a range of general haematological problems, as well as those with conditions such as leukaemias, lymphomas, myelomas, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and myelodysplasia.
At the Calvary Mater, Wojt is the clinical lead for trials in multiple myeloma and CLL, working on protocol development and the translation of cancer research into the clinical setting. He is committed to medical education, playing a role in every level of training from medical students to haematology advanced trainees and coordinating a haematology training program for general physician trainees. He has also been a featured speaker at various GP events.
Wojt completed his physician and haematology training in Melbourne before joining the haematology team at the Calvary Mater in 2014. He began his private practice in 2015 but has since relocated to the Hunter Cancer Centre at Gateshead to provide a more extensive consultation and cancer treatment service. With his dedication to cutting-edge research and education of the next generation of haematologists, Wojt is a valuable asset to the medical community and patients alike.
