A/Prof Warren Ward

Warren is a highly accomplished Associate Professor at The University of Queensland, with over 15 years of experience as Director of the Queensland Eating Disorders Service (QuEDS). He is recognized as an expert in the field of eating disorders and has been appointed to chair the Queensland Health Eating Disorder Advisory Group. Warren is also a co-author of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) Clinical Practice Guidelines for Eating Disorders that have been widely adopted in the region.

In 2017, Warren was awarded the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders (ANZAED) Distinguished Achievement Award, and just a year later, he was elected as a Fellow of the International Academy of Eating Disorders. Warren has authored more than forty articles and book chapters regarding eating disorders, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the field.

Starting in January 2023, Warren will commence as the Director of Eating Disorders at Ramsay Clinic New Farm. He will also direct the new Ramsay Mental Health Eating Disorders Training Program, providing a unique opportunity for established psychiatrists and new fellows interested in entering the field of Eating Disorders. The program runs for 12 months and includes structured supervision sessions and digital lecture series, building on the success of the program that has been led by the Associate Professor Sloane Madden in Ramsay Mental Health’s Sydney services since February 2021.
