Dr Ushank Ranasinghe

Dr. Ushank Ranasinghe is a highly qualified dual specialist in Endocrinology and Acute and General Care Medicine. He completed his physician training at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Royal Darwin Hospital and obtained a dual fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Dr. Ranasinghe is a graduate of the University of Manchester in the UK. He has an array of research publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences, showcasing his expertise in the medical field.

Aside from his clinical work, Dr. Ranasinghe has a passion for medical education and is affiliated with the University of Newcastle as a conjoint lecturer. He is committed to providing patient-centred care with a holistic approach, and he has extensive experience in perioperative medicine, having completed a perioperative course from Monash University.

Dr. Ranasinghe will be dedicating his services to patients with Diabetes and Endocrinology. His clinical interests include all aspects of diabetes care, including the management of patients with diabetes in pregnancy, perioperative and post-operative diabetes management, osteoporosis, electrolyte disorders, immunotherapy-related endocrinopathies, and general endocrinology.
