Dr Suresh Mahendran

Dr Suresh Mahendran is an accomplished Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon based in Australia. With years of experience in the field, Dr Mahendran is a specialist in diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of ENT conditions. Born and raised in Melbourne, Dr Mahendran received his medical degree from Monash University. He later completed his ENT surgical training in Australia and was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. Dr Mahendran then undertook a subspecialty fellowship in Head and Neck surgical oncology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, followed by a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. Dr Mahendran’s areas of expertise include the treatment of sinus disease, nasal obstruction, snoring and sleep apnoea, thyroid and parathyroid disease, head and neck cancer, and salivary gland disease, among others. He is also trained in the latest minimally invasive techniques, such as endoscopic sinus surgery and transoral robotic surgery. Dr Mahendran is committed to delivering optimal care to his patients, with a focus on providing personalised and evidence-based treatments. He is a passionate advocate for patient education and works closely with his patients to ensure they have a thorough understanding of their condition and the treatment options available. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Mahendran is also heavily involved in research and teaching. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents at national and international conferences. He is also involved in training the next generation of ENT surgeons as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Monash University.
