Dr Sian Fairbank

Dr Sian Fairbank is a highly experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has devoted her career to improving the health and quality of life of her patients. She provides care at several prestigious hospitals in Melbourne, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Cotham and Northpark Private Hospitals and the Epworth.

After completing her medical degree at Melbourne University, Sian developed a keen interest in human anatomy and worked as an anatomy demonstrator for undergraduates at Melbourne and Stanford universities. She then pursued her training in general and plastic surgery, ultimately earning the FRACS in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2007.

Sian’s dedication to her profession led her to complete several postgraduate fellowships, including microsurgery, reconstructive and hand surgery at the Institut de la Main in Paris, and advanced skin cancer and head and neck surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. She also pursued additional training in facial nerve and ear reconstruction and cosmetic surgery in centers in Taiwan, Europe, London and the USA.

Sian’s ultimate goal is to work with general practitioners to optimize the health and wellbeing of all her patients. With her extensive training, experience, and dedication to her field, she is a highly respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon who provides compassionate, personalised care to all those under her care.
