Dr Sarah Woodgate

Dr Woodgate specializes in the field of psychiatry, with a particular focus on perinatal, infant, and family psychiatry. Her expertise lies in providing comprehensive care to families, starting from pre-conception up until primary school age. Her goal is to support families during the transition to parenthood, ensuring the well-being of both parents and children.

With extensive training in parent-infant psychotherapy, Dr Woodgate takes a holistic approach to her patients' care. She believes in collaborating with a team of health professionals to provide the best possible treatment outcomes. Her special interests include anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, depression, family therapy, family violence, mentalisation-based therapy, oppositional defiant disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and supportive psychotherapy. Furthermore, she has experience working with doctors, psychiatrists, medical students, and families.

Dr Woodgate offers a range of services, including professional supervision, weekly psychotherapy sessions, and experience working with interpreters to ensure effective communication. Additionally, she is able to provide telehealth consultations for the convenience of her patients.

It is important to note that Dr Woodgate currently does not see adolescents. However, she is highly experienced in working with mothers and babies, as well as children aged 1-17.
