With qualifications in MBBS, Dr Klug has experience working with various age groups, including 18-60, 60+, and 16-24. He has also worked with specific populations such as asylum seekers and refugees, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, the gay and lesbian community, as well as military veterans.
Dr Klug's expertise lies in anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, brain injury, complex trauma, depression, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), forensic psychiatry, interpersonal therapy, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis, psychotherapy, and supportive psychotherapy.
His services include civil medicolegal assessments, criminal medicolegal assessments, insurance opinions and reports, MBS item 291 (Opinion and report), professional supervision, and experience working with interpreters.
Dr Klug's practice primarily focuses on civil forensic psychiatry, including the assessment and treatment of severely traumatized patients, both in childhood and adulthood. He also provides hospital treatment for patients with severe mood disorders and trauma-related disorders. Dr Klug conducts assessments for the consideration of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and he serves as the chairman and medical superintendent at Northside Clinic St Leonards.
