Dr. Olm has a specialty in psychiatry and is particularly interested in promoting preventative health and wellbeing, addiction psychiatry, and pain management. However, she also enjoys working with a wide range of psychiatric conditions such as general depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and trauma-related disorders.
With extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Olm has worked with various age groups, including adults aged 18-60 and individuals over 60. She has also provided care for military personnel, veterans, and emergency services personnel, gaining a deep understanding of their unique mental health concerns.
Her areas of expertise include acceptance and commitment therapy, addiction, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, cognitive-behavioural therapy, complex trauma, depression, dialectical behaviour therapy, eating disorders, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, personality disorders, problem gambling, psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychosis, psychotherapy, supportive psychotherapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
Dr. Olm offers a range of services to her patients, including opinion and report assessments (MBS item 291), urgent assessments, weekly psychotherapy sessions, and has experience working with interpreters to ensure effective communication for patients of diverse backgrounds.
