She completed her medical degree with Honours and The University Medal at the University of New South Wales in 2008 before becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS Urology) in 2018. Nicola further pursued her subspecialty interest in reconstructive urology with three years of fellowship training at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh and University College London Hospital.
