Dr Isaac Thangasamy is an accomplished Urological Surgeon with extensive fellowship training and experience in the management of kidney, bladder, and prostate cancers. Originally from Western Sydney, Isaac obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the University of New South Wales. He completed his speciality urology surgical training in Queensland and then honed his robotic and minimally invasive surgical skills during a year at Nepean Hospital in Sydney. Isaac went on to complete a Uro-Oncology Surgery Fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, a prestigious institution in Melbourne.
As the Director of Urology at Ipswich General Hospital in Queensland, Isaac was committed to improving outcomes for urology patients in collaboration with general practitioners. He has a passion for surgical education, serving as a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and a faculty member for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons' skills course.
