Dr Nabeel Sheikh

Dr Nabeel Sheikh is a highly skilled neurologist providing Brisbane-based neurology services through QNeurology. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, he completed his Neurology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital. He is currently a Staff Neurologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and a Visiting Neurologist at Greenslopes Private Hospital, where he provides hospital-based care. Dr Sheikh has extensive experience in hyperacute stroke, having completed a two-year fellowship in the field. He has a passion for all areas of clinical neurology, with a particular focus on Botulinum toxin treatment for a range of neurological conditions, including craniofacial pain syndromes, cervical and limb dystonias, tremor and spasticity. In addition, his expertise extends to neurophysiology, including nerve conduction studies and electromyography for nerve and muscle disorders. Dr Sheikh also has a special interest in headache disorders, including migraine, and a wide experience in hyperacute stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases. He is also passionate about movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and tremor, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.
