Dr Whiting's practice focuses primarily on the treatment and management of mental health disorders, with a special interest in schizophrenia. Additionally, she has a particular emphasis on perinatal work and supporting survivors of sexual assault.
With a wide range of experience, Dr Whiting works with various patient demographics, including mother and baby age groups, as well as individuals aged 18-60. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, such as asylum seekers and refugees, doctors, psychiatrists, and medical students, gender diverse individuals, gay and lesbian individuals, intersex individuals, military and veterans, non-English speaking individuals, and those with physical disabilities.
Dr Whiting's expertise includes addiction, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychotherapy, sexual assault/abuse treatment, and supportive psychotherapy.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Whiting also offers her services to healthcare workers directly involved in COVID-19 healthcare.
