Dr Ahmed Khan

Dr Ahmed Khan is an experienced and highly skilled cardiologist specialising in interventional cardiology. Based in Batemans Bay, New South Wales, Australia, he holds the prestigious title of MBBS FCSANZ FRACP FESC Interventional Cardiologist.

Dr Khan obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Karachi in 2001. He then pursued further subspecialty training, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Cardiology in 2012. Following this, he dedicated two years to advanced training in Interventional Cardiology.

During his first year of fellowship training, Dr Khan honed his skills at The Canberra Hospital. He then sought additional experience at Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia, where he completed his second year in Interventional Cardiology fellowship.

Dr Khan's expertise lies in various aspects of cardiovascular care, with a specific focus on the management of ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, hypertension, syncope, atrial fibrillation, and diagnostic angiography. He is also highly proficient in performing angioplasty/stenting, utilizing fractional flow reserve (FFR), and employing optical coherence tomography (OCT).
