Dr Christopher Allada

Dr Christopher Allada is an accomplished cardiologist with extensive experience in the field. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 1996 and began his training as an intern at the prestigious Royal Melbourne Hospital. In 2001, he embarked on cardiology training at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, which included a year of specialisation in the heart transplant and failure unit.

Whilst working as a cardiologist in Ballarat, Dr Allada developed a keen interest in performing coronary artery stenting, which prompted him to undertake an interventional cardiology fellowship at Canberra Hospital in 2006. He then returned to Canberra in 2009 to assume the position of staff specialist in interventional cardiology. Dr Allada's expertise in this area has also led him to work at the National Capital Private Hospital, where he sits on the Medical Advisory Committee.

Dr Allada is a passionate educator, dedicating much of his time to teaching medical students and residents. He serves as a lecturer at the Australian National University Medical School and on the Specialist Training Committee in cardiology at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He also served as the Coordinator of Advanced Training on this committee between 2008 and 2015.

Dr Allada is a cardiologist who specialises in interventional cardiology, including coronary angiography and coronary artery stenting. He is skilled in performing procedures such as electrocardiograms, blood pressure monitoring, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise stress echocardiograms, pacemaker interrogation, and pre-operative assessments.

Dr Allada is based in Deakin, Canberra, where he practices as a cardiologist. He primarily operates out of the National Capital Private Hospital, providing high-quality care to his patients.

In addition to his medical expertise, Dr Allada has a multicultural background and is fluent in Telugu, in addition to English.
