Dr Maria Santos

Dr Maria Santos is a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. She is based in Leabrook, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. With her extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, Dr Santos has helped numerous patients achieve better heart health.

Dr Santos obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 1997. She then pursued advanced training in cardiology and completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Australia in 2009.

Having completed her cardiology training at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Dr Santos further honed her skills through Fellowships in Electrophysiology at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane in 2010 and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada in 2011.

Dr Santos has a wide range of interests within the field of cardiology, including implantable electronic devices, heart failure device therapy, and syncope. She is deeply committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in her field.

Since joining Adelaide Cardiology in 2012, Dr Santos has been consulting at the St Andrew’s Medical Centre and various clinics located in Leabrook, Modbury, Gawler, Angaston, and Clare. In addition, she performs device implantation and electrophysiology procedures at St Andrew’s Hospital and Calvary Wakefield Hospital.

Dr Santos is fluent in English and Filipino (Tagalog), which allows her to provide excellent care to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
