Dr Luke Wang

Dr. Luke Wang is an experienced urologist based in East Melbourne, Box Hill, Mount Waverley and Wantirna. With a diverse range of expertise and a commitment to providing high-quality care, Dr. Wang has earned a reputation for excellence within the medical field. Dr. Wang is fluent in English and Mandarin, allowing him to effectively communicate with patients from different cultural backgrounds. Dr. Wang obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) degrees from the University of Melbourne. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Surgical Anatomy. Dr. Wang then underwent advanced urological training interstate and gained extensive experience in large tertiary centres across a number of states of Australia including NSW, ACT and VIC. In his fellowship year, Luke underwent further training in complex uro-oncology and robotic surgery through St Vincent’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. Luke is also the primary urologist for the Renal Transplant Service at St Vincent's Hospital. He is affiliated with several public hospitals, including St Vincent's Hospital, Eastern Health including Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals. Dr Wang operates out of a number of private hospitals including Epworth Hospitals, St Vincent's Private, Waverley Private Hospital and Knox Private Hospital. He looks after both public and private patients. Dr. Wang’s scope of practice includes all urological cancers, robotic and minimal invasive surgery, benign prostate enlargement, renal stone disease, PSA testing, haematuria, voiding dysfunction, circumcision, vasectomy, hydrocele and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Wang was nominated for 2023 John Billings Consultant of the Year Award. As an experienced urologist, Dr. Luke Wang continues to contribute to the field by staying engaged with ongoing research and attending national and international conferences. Dr. Wang is well respected as a mentor and clinical supervisor through his involvement in teaching and recruitment of junior doctors. He is the current Supervisor of Training for next generation of urologists at St Vincent's Hospital.
