Dr Lloyd Davis

Dr Lloyd Davis is a renowned cardiologist specialising in the interventional treatment of coronary disease and arrhythmias. With over three decades of experience, he is highly regarded in the medical community. Dr Davis is based in Westmead, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

He obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from Sydney University in 1982 and subsequently completed his training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) at Westmead Hospital. To further enhance his knowledge and skills, he pursued a Ph.D. in catheter mapping of cardiac arrhythmias at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, under the guidance of David Ross.

Dr Davis has made significant contributions to the field of cardiology through his research and publications in specialty journals. He played a pivotal role in the development of the HALO catheter used for mapping the tricuspid annulus.

Currently, Dr Davis holds the position of senior interventional cardiologist at Westmead, Westmead Private, and Blacktown Hospitals. His primary areas of interest include radiofrequency ablation of arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation (AF) and ventricular tachycardia (VT), cardiac pacing, and percutaneous interventions for the treatment of angina. He actively participates in the acute interventional treatment of myocardial infarction within the Sydney West Area Health Service. Dr Davis consults with patients at Westmead and Burwood for comprehensive care and consultation.

While Dr Davis is dedicated to his professional commitments, he also pursues various interests related to cardiology. His areas of expertise include electrophysiological studies (EPS), angioplasty, transoesophageal echocardiography (TOEs), echocardiography, and stress tests such as Stress Echo and HeartScans.
