Dr Kym Jansen

Dr. Kym Jansen is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 20 years’ experience, who is currently a member of Women’s Obstetric & Gynaecology Specialists. Known for her enthusiasm and passion for her profession, Kym develops strong relationships with her patients and provides personalised care that focuses on physical and psychological health, before, during, and after pregnancy. She is also a highly regarded gynaecological surgeon and Clinical Lead in Gynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital. Kym’s leadership positions include being a member of the Medical Advisory Committee for Frances Perry House, and having been the coordinator of specialist training at The Women’s Hospital.

Alongside her colleagues in the Women’s Obstetric & Gynaecology Specialists practice, Kym provides high-quality obstetric and gynaecology care to patients. She is committed to helping the broader community, including playing a leading role in a team of specialists who provide surgical training and support to doctors in Mongolia. Kym approaches her work with kindness and friendliness, and is well respected by her colleagues.

Outside work, Kym enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, and is an avid runner and marathoner. She has two adult children who are finding their independence away from home.
