Dr Kenneth Buxey

Dr Kenneth Buxey is a highly-skilled Colorectal and General Surgeon with extensive training and experience. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), a member of the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), and a member of General Surgery Australia. Additionally, he's a Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) accredited colonoscopist and endoscopist. Currently, he works at Linacre Private Hospital, where he provides advanced surgical care to his patients.

Dr Buxey received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours and completed his General Surgery training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. After finishing his training, he was accepted into the CSSANZ program, where he underwent advanced subspecialty Colorectal Surgery training in Sydney and Melbourne. He also got the opportunity to visit the USA as the ASCRS International Travelling Fellow to gain further expertise in his field.

Dr Buxey is a dedicated academic and is currently an Associate Lecturer at the University of NSW School of Medicine. In the past, he has held academic clinical appointments at several top universities throughout Australia. He is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field and regularly attends national and international conferences.

Apart from his professional commitments, he is a family man and is married to Alyson, a general practitioner. They are proud parents of four young sons, who keep him busy outside of work. In addition to his native language, he also speaks fluent German. Dr Buxey is easily approachable, and he welcomes calls from GPs to discuss general surgical conditions. He is passionate about providing the best possible care to his patients and helping them achieve optimal health outcomes.
