Dr Kalpesh Shah

Dr Kalpesh Shah is a highly skilled general surgeon with a specialty focus on Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) cases. After completing his general surgery training in Mumbai, India, Dr Shah further augmented his skills with HPB and UGI surgical units at the University Hospitals in Leicester, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr Shah then obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, followed by a position as Staff Specialist and Director of General Surgery at John Hunter Hospital.

Apart from his impressive surgical expertise, Dr Shah is also a passionate mentor, teacher, examiner and supervisor. He dedicates a considerable amount of his time to teaching and supervising medical students from the University of Newcastle and New England University at John Hunter Hospital.
