Kalpa Perera is a specialist in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery, who holds expertise in the management of arterial and venous disorders. He offers personalised treatment options, including both traditional open techniques and the latest minimally invasive procedures, based on the unique requirements of his patients. His area of interest lies in treating patients with limb-threatening ischemia and diabetic foot disease, and he runs the High Risk Foot Clinic (HRFC) at the Austin Hospital. Kalpa is also passionate about managing complex endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, providing exceptional care to patients in this specialized field.
Having completed his junior years at Box Hill Hospital, Kalpa graduated from the University of Melbourne and then pursued his Vascular Surgery training in Royal Perth Hospital, the major trauma center in Western Australia. He spent his fellow years at various renowned medical centers in Melbourne and Sydney, including Westmead Hospital, working with John Swinnen, a pioneer in the management of haemodialysis access and its complications.
