With over two decades of experience as a Consultant Urologist in Melbourne, Mr John Kourambas is one of the most accomplished specialists in his field. He obtained his Fellowship in the Australian and New Zealand College of Surgeons in 1998 and then completed two prestigious fellowships abroad. Mr Kourambas’ first overseas fellowship was at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom, and then he proceeded to the USA for Endo Urology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Centre.
Currently, Mr Kourambas is serving as the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand's Endourology Special Advisory Group Leader. His journey in urology started at Monash University in 1984, where he pursued medical school, graduating in 1989. Thereafter, he began his internship at the Alfred Hospital in 1990 and concluded his urology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in 1997, followed by his two overseas fellowships.
Throughout his career, Mr Kourambas' focus has been on endourology, and he is one of the few accredited Endo Urological Society Fellows in Australia. His expertise is sought after by both local and international patients. With his commitment to delivering high-quality care and his considerable knowledge base, Mr Kourambas is a highly respected urologist in Melbourne, and his contributions to the field of urology continue to make a significant impact.
