Dr Adam Gordon

Dr Adam Gordon is an experienced and respected gastroenterologist based in Moorabbin, Victoria. He is a proud member of the professional team at Healthscope, as well as having his own practice, and works across multiple locations in the Bayside area.

Dr Gordon graduated from Monash University in 1997 with honours, having completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He then went on to complete his advanced training in gastroenterology at The Alfred Hospital in 2006. Dr Gordon’s impressive educational background didn’t stop there, as he also completed his MD degree with Monash University in 2009.

With a special interest in bowel cancer screening, Dr Gordon has gained extensive experience in the field, setting him apart from his peers. He serves as an endoscopist for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) and has also been a member of a working group for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Register. His dedication to improving patients’ health and wellbeing is evident in his work.

Dr Gordon is a dedicated member of the medical community, holding various professional qualifications and affiliations. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF). Dr Gordon’s commitment to ongoing education and development is reflected in his numerous awards and accolades, including being a finalist for the Gastroenterology Association of Australia Young Investigator Award in 2004 and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Victorian Division) Best Advanced Trainee Presentation in the same year. He was also a recipient of the Young Investigator Bursary at the European Association for the Study of Liver Disease 2005 Annual Meeting and a finalist for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Advanced Trainee Award in 2005.

Dr Gordon’s primary interests within gastroenterology include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and hepatology. He is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional, providing the highest level of care to his patients.
