Dr Irfan Khan

Dr. Irfan Khan is a greatly respected and experienced paediatrician with expertise in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He currently holds a Staff Specialist position at the Queensland Children's Hospital and provides consultations at the Paeds in a Pod private rooms in North Lakes, Brisbane. Dr. Khan's practice focuses on children from neonatal to 18 years of age and he is skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions affecting children's health.

Dr. Khan completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Fiji School of Medicine before gaining valuable clinical experience in Fiji. He later moved to Queensland to further enhance his knowledge and qualifications. He holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Sydney University, a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound (GCCU) from Melbourne University, a Graduate Certificate in Allergic Diseases (GCAD) from Western Sydney University, and a Master's in Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPHTM) from James Cook University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khan has served in various roles that demonstrate his dedication to paediatrics and child health. He has worked as a Registrar at esteemed institutions such as the Royal Children's Prince Charles, Logan, and Townsville hospitals. He has also served as a fellow in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Queensland Children's Hospital. Dr. Khan's extensive experience has earned him a reputation as a skilled and compassionate physician who understands the needs of both children and their parents.

As a father himself, Dr. Khan possesses a unique understanding of the challenges and concerns that parents face when it comes to their children's health. He effectively communicates with both children and parents, ensuring that all questions and concerns are addressed. Dr. Khan is a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatric Society of Australasia (NBPSA) and the Australian Trauma Society. In addition, he serves as a Senior Lecturer in Pediatrics at Griffith University, imparting his knowledge to the next generation of medical professionals.
