Dr Gordon Padovan

Dr. Padovan is an experienced bariatric surgeon specialising in obesity surgery, with expertise in performing procedures such as Gastric Bands, Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass. He received his FRACS in 1999 after completing his surgical training in Perth, and then spent five years in the USA undergoing advanced training. During this time, he worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which has an outstanding reputation as the leading Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre in the country. The Centre had a team of professionals comprising dietitians, psychologists, pulmonary experts, endocrinologists, and plastic surgeons, all working together to cater to the patients' needs. When Dr. Padovan returned to Australia in 2005, he established his practice, Emerge Surgical, with a vision to create a similar team structure.
