Dr Michael Prichard

Dr Michael Prichard is a well-respected consultant physician with over four decades of experience in respiratory and sleep medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 1976 and subsequently completed advanced training in respiratory medicine, obtaining his advanced qualifications in 1983. Throughout his career, he has been based across Singapore, Melbourne, and Perth and has consistently demonstrated a passion for research into respiratory disorders.

In the early 1980s, Dr Prichard worked on epidemiological research into baker's asthma, which helped to expand his understanding of the disease and the challenges faced by patients. Following this, he completed postgraduate research at Harvard University in 1985, with a specific focus on host defenses against respiratory infection.

Today, Dr Prichard is the Director of the leading Perth Respiratory and Sleep Clinic (PRSC), offering quality diagnostic and consulting services for patients. The practice is ideally located in a central location and is equipped with a six-bed sleep clinic, as well as portable diagnostic and respiratory function testing services in suburban locations. Dr Prichard's specialties include chronic cough, occupational asthma, obstructive sleep apnea, general sleep disorders, gastro-oesophageal reflux, and pulmonary aspiration syndromes.
