Dr David Proud

David Proud is a highly trained Colorectal and General Surgeon with a wealth of experience gained both nationally and internationally. With consulting rooms situated in Heidelberg alongside both Warringal Private Hospital and the Austin Hospital, David offers his services to a wide range of patients.

Graduating with a medical degree from Monash University, David went on to complete his general surgery training at Melbourne's Alfred Hospital. In 2016, he was honoured to receive his Fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. David subsequently completed Post-Fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), which he undertook in Dublin, Ireland at St Vincent’s University Hospital and at the Austin Hospital.

David’s expertise in Colorectal and General Surgery means he is available for a multitude of procedures. He offers urgent appointments for patients requiring immediate treatment, such as perianal haematoma. Patients can benefit from David’s state-of-the-art in-office procedure room for on-site care of their condition where practicable.
