Susan is a highly experienced colorectal surgeon with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1996, she went on to complete her General Surgical Training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2003 before undertaking the Australian Colorectal Fellowship Program in 2008. During this time, she gained invaluable experience in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, working at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. In addition to her surgical training, Susan also holds a Master's in Public Health from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching from the University of Melbourne. She has a particular interest in laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery, hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, colonoscopy, anorectal and pelvic floor disorders, and advanced minimally invasive surgery including VAAFT and HALRAR. As a female colorectal surgical expert, Susan manages a pelvic floor laboratory where she evaluates and offers treatment for pelvic disorders such as faecal incontinence, obstructed defecation, and prolapse. She understands the sensitive nature of these issues and offers a female-only service on request. Susan holds several prestigious positions within her field, including Examiner of the Court at the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS), secretary of the Victorian State Committee of RACS, and intern supervisor at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Susan is highly regarded as a leading expert in her field and is dedicated to providing the highest level of care for her patients.
