Dr. Clinton Colaco is a highly skilled Infectious Diseases Physician, specialized in General and Acute Medicine. He obtained his MBBS from Bond University and his Masters of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the University of Sydney. After completing his Physician Training in various hospitals across Western and South-Western Sydney, Dr. Colaco developed a keen interest in core infectious diseases such as TB, HIV and Hep B&C, as well as hospital-based infections related to bone and joint, cardiovascular and device-related and complex intra-abdominal surgeries. He is also experienced in treating infections in the immunocompromised host and critical care. His dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to his patients has made him an excellent communicator and a compassionate caregiver.
Dr. Colaco is committed to research and is involved in several local and international clinical trials. He is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer with the University of Sydney and Griffith University and is actively involved in teaching medical students. Dr. Colaco has a strong interest in advocating for doctors in professional bodies and is well-known for his representation of Australia in bodybuilding, marathon running and cricket.
Dr. Colaco's areas of expertise include antimicrobial stewardship, hospital-acquired infections, infections in the immunocompromised host and critical care, bone and joint, cardiovascular and prosthesis infections, and tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections. He is committed to continuing his education to provide his patients with the most up-to-date and effective treatments.
