Dr Christopher Danesi

Dr Christopher Danesi is a psychiatrist based in Currumbin, Gold Coast, Queensland. With over four decades of experience, Dr Danesi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of psychiatry. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

Dr Danesi's primary areas of focus include General Adult Psychiatry, as well as the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Anxiety Disorders. He has a particular interest in working with patients across different age groups, including those aged 18-60 and individuals aged 60 and above.

Throughout his career, Dr Danesi has gained extensive experience in treating various patient populations. This includes working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, as well as providing support to fellow doctors, psychiatrists, medical students, military personnel, veterans, and individuals with physical disabilities.

Dr Danesi possesses expertise in a range of mental health conditions, including Addiction, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Bipolar Disorder, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders (OCD), Personality Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Problem Gambling, Schizophrenia, and Supportive Psychotherapy.
