Dr Borjana Barth

Dr Borjana Barth is a renowned Urologist, Urological Surgeon and Specialist Uro-Oncologist with a strong focus on patient care. Born and raised in Germany, she completed her Graduate Degree in Medicine at the prestigious research university, LMU Munich, and went on to undertake her Internship in the United States. Dr Barth's love for medicine and her desire to expand her professional acumen led her to Switzerland and the United Kingdom where she continued her training. Her passion for Urology arose during her time as a junior registrar at Nambour Hospital.

After completing over five years of advanced surgical training in South-East Queensland, Dr Barth was awarded Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Uro-Oncology and General Urology, which enabled her to establish herself as a prominent Urological Surgeon in Australia. Her dedication to providing the best possible care to her patients and her love for the Sunshine Coast led her to serve as Director of Urology at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where she built a comprehensive urological services department that catered to the unique needs of the Sunshine Coast community.

Dr Barth's expertise is widely recognized in her field and she is a member of various prestigious organisations such as the Urologic Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), European Urological Association (EUA), American Urologic Association (AUA), Australian Medical Association (AMA), The Society of Robotic Surgeons, and Societe Internationale d'Urologie (SIU).

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Dr Barth is highly regarded for her dedication to teaching and mentorship. She was awarded the Sunshine Coast Clinical School’s Annual Teaching Award for Surgical Specialties in 2014 and has been an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to her fellow surgeons, trainees, medical students, nursing, and allied healthcare team members. Dr Barth continues to conduct regular education sessions for the medical workforce and has served as a member of the Executive Leadership and Clinical Council at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Her dedication to patient care and her contributions to the medical community earned her a well-deserved reputation as one of the most prominent urologists in Australia.
