Dr Bill Gong is a highly skilled General Surgeon with a passion for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, particularly in gall bladder, abdominal wall hernia, and bariatric surgery. He obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014, following his training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Subsequently, Dr Gong pursued Fellowship opportunities in Perth, where he completed his first-year Fellowship in Acute Surgery at Fremantle Hospital and went on to work at Fiona Stanley Hospital for his second-year Fellowship. Here, he specialized in Hepatic, Pancreatic, and Biliary surgery. Since 2016, Dr Gong has been in private practice and has a joint practice with Associate Professor Harsha Chandraratna. He has a special interest in managing bariatric-related complications endoscopically. He also has appointments at Fiona Stanley, Fremantle, and Rockingham Hospitals. Dr Gong is an adjunct senior lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Medical Schools, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with students and he also mentors a number of medical students at the University of Western Australia. With his extensive experience in the field of General Surgery, Dr Bill Gong is highly respected for his professionalism, expertise, and dedication to his patients.
