Mr Ba Nguyen

Dr. Ba Nguyen, a widely recognized specialist in Colorectal and General Surgery, practices with rooms in both Heidelberg and Bundoora, offering ease of convenience to patients admitted to Warringal Private Hospital and the Austin Hospital.

His expertise includes treating patients with bowel cancer, diverticular diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, all perianal conditions, including haemorrhoids, fistula, fissures, providing minimally invasive surgeries, hernia surgeries, and General surgeries. Dr Nguyen received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2003, following which he completed his Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney.

After returning to Melbourne, Dr Nguyen continued with his Advanced Surgical Training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and was appointed Fellowship in General Surgery by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. With a view to enhancing his skills, he went on to complete a Master of Surgery (Surgical Sciences) with the University of Sydney in 2012 and took up an appointment at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, as a Staff Specialist Surgeon and Clinical Superintendent in Surgery in 2013.

To further his knowledge and experience, Dr Nguyen underwent an additional two years of Post Fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery with the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand. Presently, he serves as a Colorectal Surgeon at the Austin Hospital.
