Meet Mr. Simon Talbot, a dedicated orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgeries. With over two decades of experience, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, having completed his orthopedic training in 2004. He has undergone extensive training in knee surgery in Melbourne and Belgium, including fellowships under renowned surgeons, John Bartlett and Hayden Morris.
Mr. Talbot's expertise covers a wide range of knee conditions, including knee joint replacement surgeries, Arthroscopic surgery, and cruciate ligament reconstruction. He has performed over 500 knee surgeries annually and has completed more than 200 knee replacements, assuming the management of all ongoing knee conditions upon Mr. Bartlett's retirement.
In addition to his surgical skills, Mr. Talbot focuses on building strong relationships with his patients through open and honest communication. He dedicates his full attention during appointments to discuss all available treatment options.
Alongside his clinic in Heidelberg, Mr. Talbot runs two acute knee injury clinics each week, providing urgent care for patients with sporting injuries. He also holds regular operating sessions at Warringal Private Hospital, assisting patients with complex knee joint revision surgery and the reconstruction of traumatic knee injuries.
Mr. Talbot is an active member of professional organizations such as the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Orthopedic Association, the Australian Knee Society, and the Asia Pacific Orthopedic Association. He is also an honorary lecturer at the Australian Institute for the Musculoskeletal Science, University of Melbourne.
