Dr Aziz Bhimani

Dr Aziz Bhimani is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip, knee, and sports surgeries. He currently practices in Figtree, 2525, Wollongong, and is associated with Wollongong Private Hospital. Dr Bhimani holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, earned in 1996. He also holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

With a passion for orthopaedic surgery, Dr Bhimani has developed special interests in various procedures, including robotic-assisted joint replacement, hip and knee replacement (including minimally invasive navigated and patient-specific techniques), arthroscopic knee surgery, knee reconstructive surgery, patellofemoral stabilization, osteotomy, revision hip & knee surgery, anterior hip replacement, and ACL reconstructions.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Bhimani has been actively involved in the medical community. He has been a presenter and instructor at international hip forums in Singapore from 2017 to 2019, as well as at the Sydney National Hip and Knee Meeting in 2019 and the Sydney Robotic Summit in 2018. He is also an instructor for direct anterior hip replacement and robotic knee replacement. Since 2012, Dr Bhimani has served as the Director of Clinical Training at the AOA and as the Head of Department at Wollongong Hospital.
