Dr. Jiwane is a highly qualified and experienced paediatric surgeon committed to providing the best treatment and care to his patients. He graduated from Nagpur, India, where he excelled in his medical school and General Surgical training, receiving several Gold Medals, including Anatomy and Surgery. He later pursued paediatric surgery training in Mumbai and various teaching hospitals in Australia, including Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, Westmead Children's Hospital, and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. He has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
As a staff specialist surgeon at SCH, Randwick, and a VMO at Prince of Wales, Private Hospital Randwick, and Campbelltown Public and Private Hospitals, Dr. Jiwane has a wealth of experience treating patients with a range of surgical needs. He is also actively involved in overseas surgical and education programmes through RACS and Monash International. Dr. Jiwane is a member of several national and international Paediatric Surgical, Urological, and Oncological Societies such as IAPS, ANZAPS, SPUNZA, USANZ, APAPU, PAPS, BAPS, IPSO, IPEG. He has over 40 publications in national and international scientific journals, chapters in textbooks, and is a reviewer for multiple journals.
Dr. Jiwane has a particular interest in laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery and has trained in robotic surgery. He works with the IBD clinic at SCH Randwick to provide laparoscopic and single-port MIS bowel surgery. With his expertise and experience, Dr. Jiwane is committed to employing innovative surgical techniques and the latest medical advancements to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
