Angus Lecuona

Meet Dr Angus Lecuona, a highly-skilled urologist with dual fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and the College of Urologists in South Africa. Dr Lecuona received his speciality urology training at Tygerberg Academic Hospital in Cape Town where he gained extensive experience in uro-oncology, renal transplant and trauma surgery, urethroplasty, and minimal invasive stone surgery. He further honed his skills with two years of post-fellowship training in Australia before joining Eastern Health as a consultant urologist in 2017.

Dr Lecuona is passionate about helping patients with all aspects of urology. He offers comprehensive care for common urology conditions including voiding dysfunction, stones, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He also has a special interest in complex uro-oncology cases, particularly in pelvic oncology and laparoscopic renal surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery including urethroplasty.

Dr Lecuona is a member of various esteemed societies such as the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), South African Urology Association (SAUA), American Urology Association (AUA), and the International Society of Urologists (SIU). At Eastern Health- Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals, Dr Lecuona continues to offer patients his wealth of expertise in urology and is committed to providing the highest standard of care.
