Dr Andrew Bullen

Dr Andrew Bullen is a highly qualified Endovascular and Vascular surgeon, providing expert care in the Illawarra region. He has appointments at both the Wollongong Public and Wollongong Private Hospitals and specialises in treating arterial and venous disease. He has extensive experience in comprehensive diabetic foot care, carotid artery treatment, and minimally invasive aortic aneurysm repair.

Andrew has completed his training in Sydney and has gained invaluable experience both nationally and internationally, studying at several world-renowned vascular and trauma centers. He recently undertook a traveling Fellowship in the Department of Angiology in Leipzig, Germany, to further his skills and knowledge in the field.

Andrew is an Associate Lecturer and examiner for the University of New South Wales and contributes to the Masters of Surgery program at the University of Sydney. He also regularly trains and supervises upcoming vascular surgeons, instructs skills courses for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is an invited examiner for the Vascular Fellowship trials.

In addition to his exemplary practice, Andrew is passionate about the development of new, less invasive and biological treatment options and has researched this field internationally. He has also partnered with the Wollongong University Nanotechnology unit to further his interests in this area.
