Dr Amit Saha

Dr Amit Saha is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist based in Nedlands, Perth, Western Australia. He practices primarily at Hollywood Private Hospital and holds a special interest in Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of various pediatric gut problems such as chronic constipation, encopresis, chronic abdominal pain, reflux, poor weight gain, feeding difficulties, coeliac disease, diseases of the oesophagus, IBD, liver, and nutrition-related issues.

Throughout his career, Dr Saha has conducted extensive research and has presented at national and international conferences. He has authored several publications, including the Royal College of Paediatrics special interest module curriculum in Gastroenterology. His remarkable contributions to the field have been recognized and awarded the Young Investigator Award from the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition for three consecutive years.

Before moving to Australia, Dr Saha completed his higher specialist training in Pediatrics in the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS). He then pursued advanced training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at renowned medical institutions, including Kings College Hospital in London. Prior to joining Hollywood Private Hospital, Dr Saha worked as a full-time Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, where he contributed to a world-class team.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Saha is dedicated to teaching and holds an academic appointment as a senior clinical lecturer at Curtin University. He also possesses a postgraduate certificate in medical education from the UK, reflecting his commitment to the educational development of future healthcare professionals.
