Dr Tony Tampiyappa

Dr Tampiyappa is a highly skilled Geriatrician and Stroke Physician with a wealth of experience in his field. He completed his medical training at St Thomas' Hospital London and later moved to Australia in 2004. After completing his physician training at the Sunshine Coast, he pursued a fellowship in Stroke Medicine at St George's Hospital in London.

Currently, Dr Tampiyappa is the Clinical Director of stroke, neurology, geriatric and rehabilitation services at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. He is also dedicated to running a multidisciplinary movement disorder service for the Sunshine Coast, located at Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Furthermore, he is an integral part of the rehabilitation service at Nambour Selangor Private Hospital.

Dr Tampiyappa's expertise spans across all aspects of geriatric medicine and rehabilitation, as well as the extensive breadth of stroke medicine and movement disorders. His passion for elder care led him to create the Specialist Elder Care (SPEC) program, which is focused on providing specialized care and attention to older adults.
